The evening was still rather uneventful. We made a visit to JOHN HENRY'S STUDY, not actually a real person, but a real bill. We really need to agree on two drinking plans, 1.) Should we have Japanese present, 'nomihoudais' at a chain izakaya is a way to go, or at least a way to spend less that $30. 2.) drinking on the street, this will save a lot of money. Any other plan simply isn't worth it. Being a foreigner, we're likely to stay in our isolated environment and cough up far more money than the value of the experience. Besides, I'm american, I like to stand around, move around, and shake my butt when drinking.
It was nice to get out of Kasukabe and sleep in another bed. I spent the night on a mattress borrowed from a French girl at a guest house, basically a smaller version of the Chubu dorm but without the Gotos and the rooms were actually quite a bit larger. Being near Tokyo, the rent it around $600 a month, but most houses outside of the district are rather cheap and a good way to save money. I personally would prefer to be in one at the moment because of the simplicity of finding friends to hang out with. I still have yet to have any friend in Kasukabe known well enough to visit, or even meet in public, although there have been efforts and (sick) excuses made. Friday's event might be a good catalyst. I'm like a contagious virus. Perhaps I should develop a web graph should anything happen. Do you have any friends that have friends that want to talk to me?
