This one's a chugger.  The 350 ml can was 152 yen, quite affordable compared to most beers.  I would consider it a Coor's Light with 5% alcohol.  Actually, not too far from a Budweiser, and speaking of, Budweiser is quite common so I may need to drink one to refresh my memories. (back to the "cool draft"), nothing great and nothing bad. (better than "the hop").  That's what I like about it.  I may also note that Friday night is international beer purchasing night. Waiting in line to purchase alcohol on a Friday night is an international phenomenon, (except in a few middle eastern countries).

  1. Don't forget to include the 発砲酒, Happo-shu, or malt liquor. That's actually what Reiko's family drinks, as it's a bit cheaper than beer (usually written as 生ビール). In my own comparisons, Japanese malt liquor is many times over the quality of American Malt Liquor aka booze me up and get me high propellant. Yebisu makes some really good dark ones that, for 1000 yen for the sixer seems like a good deal.
