by Dave Ceiling

I wanted to post a quick message about the band I'm playing with.  The only unfortunate aspect about the band is that we don't have a bass player, otherwise everything is great.  Perhaps the most ironic aspect about the two fellas is that their style really represents the later half of ween.  The singer often sings in a goofy voice yet interesting melodically, and uses the same sun burnt les paul that gener uses. as for the lead guitarist, he's talented, and man does he make me laugh with his weird faces while playing.  So basically I feel I'm one dragging ass, but I've been practice continuously at our schools since school itself is basically over.  After todays three hour montage I feel I'm at the highest level of drumming I've ever been at.  But why stop there.  I plan on practicing tomorrow.  No classes scheduled for tomorrow and I believe the kids go home around 12:30, not too different from my High Schools exam schedule.  Tomorrow is the "welcoming party" even though it might as well be a sa'long-see ya in the fall party.

Just a minute, I'm gonna eat a Kiwi.

Alright. Next.

question: do I not have a girlfriend because of my forever present pants erection?

I'd like to briefly mention the cultural difference between Kasukabe, where I live, and Tokyo.  It's not quite the difference between Batavia, OH and Brooklyn, but it's pretty close.  That said, I really don't care to change the opinions of people who live here, instead I rather spend as much time in Tokyo as possible.  Language wise, people don't hesitate to speak Japanese fluently in Tokyo, which isn't a problem.  But people in Kasukabe tend to stutter while they try to remember the little English they know to explain something rather than spittin it out in Japanese.  Culturally, people here live in their boxes, work until god knows when, and maintain their "meticulous adherence to social protocol".  If I were to ever write a book about social evolution, (I won't), I would compare Japan with it's homogenous population to countries of higher cultural diversities.  Because when other cultures do things differently, the contrast of social etiquette verses common knowledge becomes present.  Where as Japan may lead the pact in sustainable lifestyles, mostly because of the necessity with limited land, they tend to miss the relative simplicity of life.  Of course I'm speaking in general terms, the members of the band I saw last week would most likely see things differently, and more importantly, the fellas in my band would feel the same way.
