Had our second practice yesterday. Went pretty well, although my drumming is still not up to par.  But, we did add 2 more new songs, one they had already written and another one we made on the spot.  It's cool cause the guys can play through a jam a couple of times and right away have really interesting guitar parts for them.  The new song we wrote is a real slow bass lined rocker.  In one way it was too easy and simple, but its so natural sounding that I think it'll sell. I immediately thought of frank by ween after we played it, although it's quite different. 

Found out today that I can help myself to the drum-sets at school on the weekends.  This is good since I really feel like I'm intruding on everyone's peace during the days.  Also, I found a really sweet practice pad made by Pearl at the nearby music store but they seriously wanted 5000 for it. It might have included the stand, but I'm 80% sure it didn't.  Was looking for some fatter sticks today and used to for sampling.  It's more of a jelly-like surface rather than rubber and it bounces way better.  It's actually really easy to play which may lead to problems because a real drum wouldn't behave as such.  Most snares at the practice studios are tuned way up and it's usually pretty difficult for me to get use to them.  But I think fatter sticks will help out.
