Clavicle is healing quite nicely. Went running for the first time today without having to stop for pain. Also ate mos burger for the first time in a month and finished another video, mostly from the last two nights.
So.... last night.... me and Dave met up with Dan to party around Tokyo. Our first thought was to see a show in Shibuya and head back before the last train. But, we agreed that shows here are just two boring and we'd rather hit a club, and stay all night. Since we had a few hours before anything opened, we decided to head to Roppongi, my first experience in the place. Gotta say it's pretty sweet, a real shit-fest comparable to athens. Also, because of the high foreigner population, it felt great to get out of the Japanese culture for a chance. With the exception of store clerks, 80% of the people on the street were speaking English. We of course got a lot of hassle from (not doorman, but callers? i can't think of the title right now), but it really wasn't a problem. And after a while we kinda enjoyed playing with them by asking if we could see the place first or get discounted drinks.
So we finally get into one on a 3rd floor. Pretty small, but typical place. But what I really liked about it was the American style bar where you can stand around and drink. There are tables in the back should you feel the need. Anyway, we grab a couple of asahis, get the dance party started, trade numbers with a rather weird lady, then get out of there. Hit another place for a shot, then head in Lex which is perhaps the most famous club in Roppongi. I had a great time, mostly because I could dance with a girl for hours, but also for party till dawn atmosphere. And not entirely full of what you might consider the typical clubbing type. Music was danceable, no salsa involved.
Wrapping the story up, make it outside around 3 to take a break, see the sunrise, make out with a girl, she pukes, Dave recovers my lost camera from some really nice guys, film a guy skateboarding right outside the place, get some food, hop trains home, get to sleep around 8am. Disappointed that I don't have the money to do it every night.
