Christmas 2009

By being in Japan, I avoided 90% of Christmas marketing this year. Occasionally heard Christmas tunes inside bookstores/restaurants, but not too common. A few people have lights up and a family in the neighborhood had a midi-powered speaker playing some song over and over again. Good news for the neighbors.

So, no big change in the 六軒町 during the holiday. A few more kids playing outside. But thats just because it's nice out and it's the first official day of winter break. THEN, it happened. While buying beer and toilet paper at the local convenient store, the keyboards pierced the air and I knew I was in for a chuckle. Got me on the last day. Paul McCartney had saved Christmas.
