Walked to the conbini to grab a beer and a snack and halfway there a big white lab started to follow me. I sorta turned toward it to see if it had a collar (nope) and it tried to jump up on me. No social skills. Although, I tried to tell it to sit in Japanese and it sorta seemed to work. It then waited for me at the entrance. Kinda funny looking in. I told the lady working about it but there was really nothing to do so we walked back home together, despite my efforts to ignore it. I stopped at one point just to see what would happen and it jumped on me again. The nails sorta dug into my legs. I noticed it (this time literally) marking its trail about every 50 yards so it could find its way....somewhere. Anyway. It's not too cold here so it should be alright. Although, it kinda had that nervous/exhausted stumble that Max gets after working too hard. well, that's that.
Job Update:
Two interviews lined up. One of them as an ALT position in either Hiroshima, Okayama, or back in Nagoya. The other as a conversation teacher in downtown Shinjuku, Tokyo that pays quite nice. I'm kinda hoping for that one just because I think it'd be novel to work in a skyscraper in Tokyo, even though it's only on the 6th floor. Maybe theres a coffee shop way up. Also, I'd likely be in a guest house, almost like a dorm, but with individual rooms. which is a great way to meet friends and socialize. And its cheaper.
Max appreciates the shout out! He wants you to come visit soon.
